Welcome to our water quality scavenger hunt!

Hey Ottawans! We’re so happy that you’ve decided to join us in our first ever water quality scavenger hunt. On this page, you’ll find a video featuring Emelia, who is your main point of contact throughout this scavenger hunt. You’ll also find a video of our Executive Director, Kat, explaining how to use the tools that come in your testkit. Make sure to watch this video before getting started!

We’ve created some maps with some suggested locations in your region. You can download all the maps as a pdf here. But, you are not limited to these locations! Go to app.waterrangers.ca/map to see if there are sample locations there, or if there isn’t, you can click on the map to create a new location! We want every waterbody to have tests, so help us discover new spaces.

Don’t forget that if your family tests the most in a month, you’ll get a t-shirt featuring a design of all the locations you’ve tested at!
